As a key contributor within Next 150 Construction, the CES Program Estimator is responsible for supporting the estimating, preconstruction planning, and financial modeling of our Consolidated Equipment Solution Program nationwide. The CES Program is a solution that provides an entire jobsite with construction equipment to reduce safety issues, quality deficiencies, downtime loss, and sustainability slippage. This role will develop accurate equipment estimates, establish consistent estimating standards, support vendor and project pricing strategies, and provide the data and analysis needed to evaluate and implement CES opportunities. This role will help position the CES Program as a credible, scalable, and financially sound business offering for Next 150 Construction.

Responsibilities

- Support Consolidated Equipment Solution Programs throughout the country by preparing accurate, complete, and timely equipment estimates for prospective and active projects.
- Develop project-specific equipment estimates using construction schedules, labor forecasts, logistics plans, drawings, specifications, historical utilization, project phasing, and input from project teams.
- Build detailed equipment lists, utilization assumptions, quantity takeoffs, rate analyses, escalation assumptions, mobilization and demobilization costs, service requirements, and other cost components necessary to establish the CES Program budget.
- Prepare vendor Request for Proposal packages, coordinate bid solicitations, manage vendor questions and clarifications, and organize submitted pricing and scope information.
- Create bid leveling analyses and recommendation packages that compare vendor rates, service capabilities, fleet availability, exclusions, commercial terms, and overall value.
- Build and maintain estimating tools, equipment rate databases, historical cost libraries, utilization benchmarks, entitlement catalogs, and production tracking systems for CES Programs.
- Partner with CES Program leadership, Business Development, Preconstruction, Procurement, Operations, Safety, project teams, and vendors to validate estimating assumptions and confirm program requirements.
- Support preconstruction efforts by contributing equipment-related input to contractual terms, project bids, pursuit strategies, logistics plans, project schedules, and client presentations.
- Analyze total estimated equipment cost, anticipated utilization, program revenue, margin, contingency, and identified risks to support go/no-go decisions and program recommendations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, alternative equipment strategies, sustainable equipment solutions, and service models that improve project value without compromising safety or operational requirements.
- Participate in estimate reviews, scope alignment meetings, vendor post-bid meetings, and turnover meetings from preconstruction to CES Program operations.
- Maintain clear estimate documentation, including assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, qualifications, scope gaps, pricing sources, and version control.
- Analyze market trends, equipment availability, inflation, regional rate differences, and vendor performance to improve estimate accuracy and maintain competitiveness.
- Deliver technical and business presentations to internal teams and external clients to explain estimate methodology, program value, pricing structure, and recommended equipment solutions.
- Participate in the continuous improvement plan by identifying opportunities in the current process, reviewing suggested improvements, and presenting recommendations to Next 150 leadership.
- Participate in and help support safety activities and training.
